Discover Cajun Crab Shack

If you're in Thousand Oaks and craving something bold and flavorful, Cajun Crab Shack is the place to be. Tucked away at 1074 E Avenida De Los Arboles, this lively diner serves up a combination of Cajun-inspired dishes with a heavy focus on fresh seafood. Whether you're a fan of crab, shrimp, or anything in between, this spot is sure to satisfy your cravings.

The moment you step inside, you're hit with a welcoming, casual vibe. The restaurant’s interior is simple, yet cozy, with a laid-back atmosphere that feels like you're dining in the heart of the bayou. It’s the perfect spot for groups of friends or family who want to enjoy good food without the fuss.

One of the best things about the Cajun Crab Shack is its variety of offerings. The menu isn’t just about crab-though, of course, that’s the star of the show. You’ll find a diverse selection of dishes inspired by Louisiana’s famous flavors. From gumbo to crawfish étouffée, the menu covers all the classics. But for the real treat, you can't go wrong with their signature crab boils. The crabs are seasoned just right, drenched in a spicy Cajun sauce that gives them a kick without overwhelming the natural sweetness of the meat. Paired with corn on the cob and potatoes, it's the ultimate comfort meal.

The shrimp po' boy is another fan favorite. It's piled high with crispy shrimp, fresh lettuce, and a tangy sauce that pulls the entire sandwich together. Plus, if you're in the mood for something lighter, there are always options like seafood salads or shrimp cocktails to start your meal. The kitchen here knows how to balance flavors, making sure each dish feels unique yet familiar.

But the true charm of Cajun Crab Shack goes beyond its food-it’s the experience. The service is friendly and attentive, and you never feel rushed, no matter how busy the place gets. The staff takes pride in explaining the dishes, making sure everyone leaves with a smile and a full stomach. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, the hospitality here makes you feel like part of the family.

For those who prefer to stay in, the Cajun Crab Shack also offers takeout and delivery services, ensuring you can enjoy their flavorful seafood from the comfort of your home. And with online ordering becoming more and more common, this is a huge plus for anyone who wants to indulge without stepping out.

Beyond the food, Cajun Crab Shack has built a reputation for being a go-to spot for casual dining. Their reviews speak volumes, with many customers noting the consistent quality and the mouthwatering taste of their dishes. It’s clear that the chefs are experts at combining spices, fresh ingredients, and seafood, creating a memorable experience every time.

When it comes to prices, Cajun Crab Shack offers good value for money. While it's not the cheapest seafood spot in town, the portion sizes are generous, and the flavors are undeniably worth the cost. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re getting your money’s worth with every bite.

The location in Thousand Oaks is also convenient, easily accessible, and surrounded by other local gems, making it a perfect stop for a weekend outing or after a long day of shopping. Plus, with the sunny weather in California, the outdoor seating is a great option if you want to enjoy your meal al fresco.

The experience at Cajun Crab Shack is a true reflection of the warmth and richness of Cajun cooking. Every dish is carefully prepared, and the flavors are authentic, ensuring that no matter what you order, you're in for a treat. With its welcoming atmosphere, flavorful menu, and exceptional service, it’s no wonder this spot has become a local favorite in Thousand Oaks. So, if you’re craving a seafood feast with a bit of Cajun flair, this place should be at the top of your list.

  • I went for the first time. LOVED IT. I'm a foodie and I hadn't even thought about writing a review when I took photos of some of the food we got.The Crab Shack House Mix Sauce is DELICIOUS. EXCELLENT service. Our server's name is Jonathan. He and his assistant (I never got his name) was very nice. I came with a big group. Jonathan double- checked with us to make sure he split our check correctly before running it. Everyone LOVED their food, even the kids. I'm glad I found a little seafood gem. I'm saving up to go again.

  • While looking for a sea food boil place, we came across this place in TO. The inside was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Sea food boil, chicken nachos and fries were delicious. The waiter was nice and attentive. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

  • The "lunchbox" special is a great deal--$14.99 --for a huge pan of seafood, sausage, corn cob and potato. The House Blend spices at medium spicy was relatively mild and delicious. Fabio, the proprietor, is super friendly and attentive. Plenty of tables, never a wait to get seated. Great place.
